Let it snow. and snow. and snow. and snow some more.
Mother Nature beat Santa to the punch this year as she brought us sleighfulls of snow for Christmas. The blizzard started on Wednesday and stranded Dee and Craig in the thriving metropolis of Clayton, New Mexico. They were finally able to arrive on Friday and Leah was lucky to not have her flight cancelled. We got around 30 inches of snow! We headed up to Silverthorne, Colo., to stay in our winter home. Bowser and Ben became best of pals and we all enjoyed the cozy mountain getaway. We tried to head up to Vail for some sightseeing, but turned around after we started fishtailing on I-70. We played games, ate delicious food and enjoyed each other's company. It was a wonderful holiday. We returned the day after Christmas and did some after Christmas shopping. Leah flew out the next day and Dee and Craig left on Thursday morning to beat the second round of snow. Luckily, the second blizzard didn't materialize and only left us with 7 inches of snow. Still, Steve and I are both daydreaming of warm, sunny places. Here are some pics of our very Merry Christmas!!
