Pictures of Ben!

This weekend, we welcomed a new member into our family--Ben! We adopted him from the animal shelter. They believe he came from Hurricane Katrina. He's an older guy--9 years--and we want to give him a great retirement home. He is such a super sweet guy--calm, gentle, and mild mannered. He hasn't barked once in the day and a half that we've had him. He leaves Dulcie cat alone and she seems to be warming up to him a little bit. He is a chow/golden retriver mix. He came into the shelter matted up, so they had to shave him down. He therefore looks like a lion right now. At the shelter, kids were hanging all over him and he was so sweet and gentle with them.

Random Happenings...

Note to self...update blog with pictures.

I'm a little tired today. Thus, this will be a rambly sort of blog post. We stayed up way too late watching the Discovery Health Channel. Who knew health could be so addicting? First, we watched a show on a family of dwarfs. Second, we watched a show about a man who had to be clincially killed so that doctors could operate on an anerysum in his brain. Third, we watched a show on plastic surgery before and after. This all came after watching a show on TLC about a family with 16 children. Yes, it was an educational evening of television watching.

We're in the 70's decade for number of days left until the wedding. I'm so ready for it to be here. Took my dress to get altered and paid almost as much for the alterations as for the dress. Damn you David's Bridal and your evil scheme!!!! We are both getting more and more excited about having everyone here and having a great weekend of fun. Oh and we're excited about getting married too. :)

My family was in town several weeks ago for a visit. We had a great time and it was wonderful to see my nephew Charlie. He is awesome. Go Charlie!

In about a month, we'll be in Kansas City and St. Louis respectivley for our bachelor party/bridal shower/bacherlotte party weekend. Thanks to Mom, Leah, Sally, Lucy and Shalyn for their work on showers/parties. Should be a blast.

I was right. This was a rambling post. It's 4:55 p.m. now and time for me to head home. A more coherent post and pictures will follow at a later date.
