Goodbye Blogspot, Hello House of Clampitt!

Hi everyone,

Please note that as of today, we are retiring our blogspot account. Steve has created a new, fancy pantsy website.

Introducing--THE HOUSE OF CLAMPITT www.houseofclampitt.com

I was pushing for www.tendervittles.com but Steve thought that sounded too risque. Hahaha

Come check out our new site. We will have a link to all of our pics and will have blogs there too. Steve is starting a blog about his diabetes.

We B Moved!

Hi all,

Well, we made the move to Missouri. HALLELUJUAH!!! Leah, Mom Lucas and Dad Clampitt came out to Denver and slaved away to help us get moved. We packed and packed and packed and packed and packed some more. Then, we drove and drove and drove some more. We left Denver on Wednesday at 8 p.m. and drove straight through Kansas and made it alive! We dropped all of our stuff into a storage unit and then reeeeeeeelllllllaaaaxeeeeedd.

We got up the next day and went house hunting. We found a really nice house in a really nice neighborhood at a really nice price. It has passed inspection!!!!! YIPPIE!!!! We will close on May 12! Steve is back in Denver until then doing work stuff and I'm living with Brian and January. We're both looking to reunite and move into our new house!

Here are pics of our adventure!

Thanks again Leah, Mom and Dad!!!!!!

Grandpa Ben

As some of you know, Ben has been having a few health problems lately. He had a benign tumor that was bothering him, so we had it removed. Now the doctor suspects he has what is called Diabetes Insipidus. Basically, his body is unable to absord water and so his thirst is never quenched. Therefore, he drinks and drinks and drinks. And then pees, and pees and pees.

We're getting ready to go on a 12 hour car ride to Missouri and then I'm crashing with my extremely hospitable friends Brian and January and living in their basement (Steve will fly back out to Denver to finish up some work training). So, we (I, really, Steve takes no ownership of this decision) decided Ben needed diapers for the car ride and to help protect Brian and Jan's carpet while I'm at work.

I bought doggie diapers. Doggie diaper manufactuers seem to not understand the anatomy of a dog as none of the diapers covered up his Mr. Winkie. So, then I resorted to buying him Depends. As I checked out in Target, I felt the need to tell the cashier "oh, no these aren't for me, they're for my dog." But I resisted as I suspected that would make me far more consipicous than just paying for the diapers and moving on.

I had to cut a whole for his tail, but I think it appears to be a better fit.

Being a jealous dog, Frank appears to want a diaper now. And Dulciecat just appears to be silently mocking them both.

Literally the cutest thing ever

Seriously, this makes me wanna dress all in black, get night vision goggles and go steal me a panda from the zoo.

The many faces of Frank.

I was packing and sorting through all of our junk the other day and found a few pieces of headgear that Frank needed to try on. He not-so-happily obligied me.

I present to you:

Princess Frank (blurry because he really didn't like this one!)

Wah wah.

So, yesterday we were super excited about our new house in Columbia.

Today, we are not.

The inspection was today and it was found that there were major foundation issues. Bascially, the back half of the house was falling down. The inspector just ballparked estimated that it would be $5,000-$20,000 to repair. Steve and I don't want to deal with major structural issues like that and feel like it would only be opening a Pandora's box of problems. So, we released our offer.

We are bummed (mostly about not having that awesome backyard!) but we know that everything happens for a reason. We are supposed to be in a different house at a different time and we both accept that.

For now, we'll live with our pals Brian and January and keep up the house search.

Que sera, sera!

Love,
Hannah
